Crazy Love
I just finished reading this book called Crazy Love by Francis Chan. In his book, Francis gives an honest look at the state the Church is in, and contrasts that with the word of God. It is odd how some of us accept certain scriptures\ teachings in the Bible and discard others (I am guilty of this too). This is obviously seen by the fallen world around us who doesn’t see the difference in those who call themselves Christians. If Christ truly lives in us, then our surroundings will be affected with the Love of God. I know for me, I am challenged to lose this comfortable life of mine and go after God with all that he made me to be. This book has a prophetic edge and is a must read for anyone who truly loves God.
In the words of the Apostle Paul: Gal. 2:20
“I am crucified with Christ, I no longer live but Christ now lives in me, this life that I have in this body is no longer my own but is now lived by faith in the One who gave His life for mine.”

Cody, Wyoming
I was invited to Cody, WY (Yellowstone) for an outreach at the local skateboard park. The church that brought me out wanted to really reach out to the skate community and encourage the congregation of 50 people (mostly retired folks) to go out and serve and love these skaters (Imagine that….. seriously?). The opposition was all around this small church. It began when the Pastor made a proposal to the city in having me out and that the guy they were booking (Me) would be sharing the good news of Jesus. The way it was told to me by the Pastor was the community leaders were behind the event until they heard that the purpose for this was full on outreach, not positive entertainment.
To say the least this little church body had to go through all kinds of red tape from rental fees to insurance and strange additional stipulations.
God came through and provided all their needs.
The day finally came and it was an all day battle. I showed up @ 10:30am and the small church was already there in full force, making hot dogs and passing out cold drinks to the skaters. This church even put on a contest that was really well organized. The lead Pastor did all kinds of research. About 20 skaters competed. We had over 100 in attendance, I even MC’d the 3 hour contest, which God used to build the bridge with the skaters for me to share the gospel that night at 7pm. I felt that God put it on my heart not to preach (speak) on the microphone but to give skaters the choice to either listen to me share Jesus or they were free to skate the park. The initial plan was to shut everything down and that skaters and onlookers were suppose to sit and listen…… yeah right…
I trusted God and everyone sat there as I skated and shared the complete Gospel of Jesus Christ. When it came time for the invitation to receive Christ, I was led not to encourage bowing heads and closing eyes. This was going to be a public confession for Jesus in front of everybody unashamed! A lot of people raised their hands to pray and receive Jesus, from little kids to grandparents. Even a few of the leaders were challenged. I didn’t count the hands and I am glad because this is for God’s glory.
It was one of the most amazing outreaches I have been apart of in all my years doing this. I am so thankful that God allows my eyes to see His divine work.
Glory to the Living God!

This is a photo that I shot later in the day during the break from the contest. It just shows how big this skatepark is and how awesome it was to be a flatland skater and still capture the attention of the local rippers.

Home Again
Thanks for your support and prayers. I have had a very busy schedule- I just did 8 back to back dates stretching 2 weeks straight this past June. I saw God move in amazing ways. I just want to see people come to know and be in awe of God. That is what Liz and I want as well.
I just want to do the will of the Father. Please pray. I am about to get on another plane and go to Wyoming to judge a skateboard competition and share the good news of Jesus. I am then off to a festival in Houston, TX for the 4th and the last date this month is in Sheldon, IA.

Go Skateboarding.
Go Skateboard Day was on June 21st.
Here I am pictured with some of Covington, LA cops the only day they’re not taking boards and writing tickets. They actually gave the local skaters an open street parade through downtown Covington LA. Wild! The guys in front help out with the local skate ministry. I did my demo in the downtown area and then shared how God changed my life back @ the local shop.
I was so blessed to be able to do this. Jud Heald and I did a demo here in 2000, and again in 2003. I met skaters that saw me when they were 14 or 15 and are now in their 20’s. I am thankful I have remained faithful all these years and am even more passionate about Jesus and His love.
I just want to finish this life well and hear ‘God say “well done”.

I am super busy and very tired and forgetful to keep up with my blog (Sorry). God is doing amazing things! I started in Florida. Then I went to Iowa for outreaches in 2 different cities. I was part of the Annual Ice Cream Days in the hometown of Blue Bunny Ice Cream (Lemars, IA). I skated and shared Jesus. It was more of a family day gathering entertainment kind of thing, but I tried my best to be faithful to God in saying what I believed needed to be said.
I was joined by a flatland BMX rider and my good friend and Untitled teamate Dave Nelson. He is also the designer of this site. I then went to the Rize festival where I was invited to speak and skate in front a few thousand people. God spoke through me and I had a blast. Rise fest ‘09 had people like Jeremy Camp and Hawk Nelson in the line up. You can see the stage and the jumbo screen in the photo I shot a little after I performed and shared Jesus.
God bless and I will write more soon.

Sierra

I was @ Target the other day. I wandered into the toy department and I stumbled upon the Tech Deck section or (fingerboards)…. You can watch my You tube clip later. Anyway this particular one is of a young guy that I used to tour with when we had our old company Manna Skateboards. His name is Sierra Fellers and this is a toy version of his actual pro model skateboard put out by Foundation Skateboards. Sierra had a passion for Jesus and skate ministry the last time I saw him or spoke to him (which has been a while).
We were in the Livin’ It DVD together. Then, that same year, he blew up in the skateboard industry by winning the 2004 Tampa AM contest. I have tried to keep tabs on Sierra in all the magazine interviews, tours, etc. I pray God protects him and that he is the example he is called to be. I am proud of Sierra! He is the best skateboarder I had ever seen in person. We used to skate outside our hotels on tour late at night and I would watch this kid do every flip trick with ease, even some of my freestyle stuff. We would take him to a spot and he would pull out everything with uncanny board control and effortless style. Sierra was the last person I ever played s-k-a-t-e with, which is like Horse in basketball. He is the closest person to ever beating me (and this seems so dumb now, but I used to be so competitive, which is why I don’t compete anymore). I just had to smile the other day when I bought Sierra’s Tech Deck toy at Target. This brought back so many memories of the old tour days with Manna Skateboards and how I got to see this kid, who was 14, grow into who he is today.
Sierra, if you read this- please get in touch! God bless.
