Yesterday I had a blast. My good friend Lynn Cooper came from Denver to visit me and my wife for a few hours while on his way to the Oregon coast with his girlfriend. We skated and caught up on old times.
Lynn, for those of you who don’t know him, is a pro skater from the 1980’s. He grew up with Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, Christian Hosoi, and actually was one of the first to shoot video of some of those old legendary California contests of the 1980’s. You can see a lot of Lynn’s archive footage on the old Tony Hawk video games and anytime people need archive contest footage for a story they call Mr. Cooper.
Lynn gave me guidence and good advice when I first turned Pro. I remember meeting Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen and so many other of my favorite skaters all because of Lynn Cooper early on in my career. I was blessed by his visit and I am thankful I have a bro’ who has looked out for me all these years.
